Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took the time to recollect his father, Rocky “Soulman” Johnson with a tribute video.
The actor, celebrated the tip of Black History Month by remembering the legacy of his father, who was a part of the primary ever Black Heavyweight Tag Team Champions for the WWE, together with “Mr USA” Tony Atlas.
“He came up the hard way, and trail-blazed for all of us men of colour – in any sport & level of entertainment. But it was also very important to him to pave the way for all men, any colour – it didn’t matter,” the Moana star mentioned in the caption.

In the video, he posted a clip of his victorious dad to the tune of My Old Man by Zac Brown. The clip of Rocky coincides with the lyric “He was a giant”, earlier than the following shot confirmed the Rock as a teen watching on, with the lyrics persevering with, “and I was just a kid, I was always trying.”
The 51-year-old opened up about his childhood and regrets about his father.
“My regret in this life is that I never had a chance to say goodbye to him, because he died suddenly. I regret not reconciling our complicated father/son s— before I lost him. Raised me with tough fatherly love and an even tougher hand. The more I live life, the more grateful I am for it. See you down the road, Soulman.”
