Dynamite and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products have introduced a new addition to the ThunderCats mythos in concern #2–Calica!
The brand-new member joins the core solid within the Declan Shalvey and Drew Moss collection. Fans will get the possibility to meet Calica early within the second concern, which hits shops on March 13. Colors are by Arancia Studio, letters are by Jeff Eckleberry, and edits are by Nate Cosby. In addition to the newly introduced covers by Shalvey, Moss, and Ken Haeser, the difficulty options variant covers by David Nakayama, Lucio Parrillo, Jae Lee, Ivan Tao, and an motion determine cowl.
Dynamite shares that Calica is “a potential love interest for a Lion-O” who’s “trying to mature and establish himself as a worthy leader…Calica’s story could go any number of ways in the forthcoming chapters and story arcs…”
“Not only has it been great to play with the classic ThunderCats characters, having the opportunity to contribute to the lore has been a wonderful experience,” stated Shalvey. “Especially with introducing Calica (and her unique, yet naturally fitting design courtesy of Drew Moss) who will add a new dynamic that will keep the ThunderCats (and readers) on their toes.”
This new younger Thunderian is impressed by the looks of Calico cats, with a tri-color fur sample and a distinctive black patch round one in all her eyes. She’s discovered among the many wreckage of a Mu’Tant ship. More of her backstory will probably be revealed within the concern and past for readers.
Alongside the character’s first look, the writer will probably be unveiling a shock second cowl for the difficulty by Shalvey. As the “Final Order Cutoff” approaches for the difficulty, Dynamite will probably be sharing additional data.
