The Wheel of Time retains turning. Dynamite has introduced a forthcoming comics adaptation of the second of Robert Jordan‘s Wheel of Time novels, The Great Hunt. The sequence will likely be written by Rik Hoskin and illustrated by Marcio Abreau. No different members of the artistic staff have been named within the announcement.
Here’s how Dynamite describes the brand new sequence:
The Great Hunt stars the beloved sequence protagonist Rand al’Thor, as he and his companions Mat Cauthon and Perrin Aybara got down to retrieve the legendary Horn of Valere. Revealed because the Dragon Reborn, Rand’s journey will likely be filled with motion and intrigue, equivalent to when he finds himself transported to an alternate world. Meanwhile his preliminary love curiosity Egwene al’Vere is on her personal journey to the White Tower to be taught the methods of the Aes Sedai. With the Dark One scorching on the heels of the brand new Dragon, every part will come to a head throughout many thrilling points!
Along with a principal cowl by Mel Rubi, The Wheel of Time Book 2: The Great Hunt #1 may also sport a variant cowl by Jordan Gunderson, in addition to a photograph variant cowl that includes a nonetheless from the Amazon Prime adaptation of the novel sequence.
The Wheel of Time Book 2: The Great Hunt is the most recent sequence from Dynamite to adapt Jordan’s beloved fantasy novels. Adaptations of the prequel novel, New Spring, and the primary e book within the sequence, The Eye of the World, ran for 8 problem and 35 points, respectively, from 2010-2013.
In an announcement saying the sequence, author Rik Hoskin described his strategy to adapting such a well known and beloved e book:
“With a project like this, I always try to be as faithful as I can to the source material,” mentioned author Rik Hoskin. “That means familiarizing myself with the world, and trying to get it all into chunks I can refer to quickly — a bit like making revision notes when you’re at school!”
