“It’s like a dream come true, especially when you consider everything that’s happened in the last couple years,” she shared. “I wake up every day excited about life, and this is where I’m the happiest. So, it feels really good.”
While Erika’s residency marks the beginning of “a new era” for her, she mentioned the stylings of the present will give a nod to her “grassroots” background.
“I’m recording new material, so actually that’s what I’m most excited about,” Erika teased. “We all get knocked down, but you have to get back up and keep going, and I think that’s what’s most important.”
“I think in life, you have to roll the dice and bet on yourself,” she added. “And I definitely roll the dice, and I bet it all. I think it’s just a great way to live.”
