Estonia has chosen the Sundance prize-winning doc Smoke Sauna Sisterhood as its entry for the Best International Feature Film class on the 2024 Oscars.
Directed by Anna Hints and produced by Marianne Ostrat, the movie gained the directing award within the World Cinema Documentary part at Sundance. Hints is an Estonian movie director with a background in up to date artwork and experimental people music. The doc is her first function.
The movie’s synopsis reads: In the darkness of a smoke sauna, ladies share their innermost secrets and techniques and intimate experiences, washing off the disgrace trapped of their our bodies and regaining their power by a way of communion.

Greenwich Entertainment will launch Smoke Sauna Sisterhood in North America within the autumn. Conic has acquired UK-Ireland distribution rights.
