Ex-Broncos defensive lineman Derek Wolfe hunted a large mountain lion in Colorado this week … and on the finish of the day, a wild picture reveals the Wolfe obtained the higher of the massive cat.
The former NFL participant detailed his insane journey to nab the mountain lion in Grant on his social media web page Thursday … saying it began after he obtained a name on Tuesday that the animal was terrorizing a rural neighborhood within the metropolis.
Wolfe mentioned he was advised the mountain lion had killed two of a lady’s canines … and was “nervous what he might do next.”
The 32-year-old avid hunter and fisherman mentioned he then got down to kill it.
He defined on his IG that after discovering a ravaged mule deer that he assumed the massive cat killed, he hiked up hundreds of ft of tough terrain … and finally encountered the mountain lion.
“Exhausted, dehydrated, cramping,” Wolfe mentioned, “I drew back my [bow] and sent an [arrow] through him.”
Wolfe mentioned he then needed to drag the beast’s carcass again to his truck … falling off a 10-foot rock face within the course of.
Wolfe, who performed within the NFL from 2012 by 2020, wrote within the remark part of his social media put up that he estimated it weighed about 195 kilos. As for its top, Derek stands at 6-foot-5 … and the cat appeared to be greater than him.
