Next month Top Shelf Productions will launch F.A.R.M. System. The newest graphic novel from cartoonist Rich Koslowski is about in a near-future the place superheroes prepare in a minor league earlier than being called up to the “big leagues”. Ahead of the guide’s launch, The Beat is happy to current a preview for the graphic novel.
Here’s how Top Shelf describes F.A.R.M. System:
For each hero who saves the galaxy and makes the entrance web page, there are a dozen staffers working behind the scenes… and 100 up-and-comers hoping to take their place. F.A.R.M. System is your ticket to the hidden world of super-powered people hoping to make the Big Leagues.
In the Farm System, having an unbelievable and distinctive energy is simply the first step. Guided by a military of brokers, managers, and specialists, recruits should bear rigorous psychological evaluations, harassment and sensitivity seminars, advertising and endorsement workshops, and costume design conferences, all to enhance their possibilities of recruitment into an A-list super-hero crew.
Some recruits make “the Bigs.” Some have fleeting moments of glory, then lose all of it. Some take “Blue Cowl” gigs as super-powered bodyguards for well-known actors or highly effective CEOs. Some flounder in the System for years, by no means getting “the call.” And some discover success by becoming a member of groups of a… much less respected ilk.
F.A.R.M. System is the newest Top Shelf launch from Koslowski. The cartoonist’s earlier books embody The King and Three Fingers, which he wrote and illustrated himself, and B.B. Wolf and the 3 LPs, which he illustrated with author J.D. Arnold.
Check out the preview for F.A.R.M. System under. The graphic novel is due out in shops on Tuesday, November eighth.
