Another episode of Artist Friendly is on the way in which. Following conversations with Brain Dead co-founder Kyle Ng, Southside, and Mike Einziger of Incubus, Griff will join Joel Madden on the most recent episode of the series.
Griff is a U.Okay. pop star who cites Jack Antonoff, Imogen Heap, and James Blake as influences. She performed just one present supporting her 2019 EP, Mirror Talk, then created the 2021 LP One Foot In Front of The Other in her bed room throughout pandemic lockdowns, which shot her to fame. Now, she’s readying the discharge of her newest single, “miss me too,” which was written in between excursions. “I booked a little Airbnb and sent my location to Lostboy and Siba, who I co-wrote ‘Black Hole’ with,” she says. “We converted the living room of the cottage into a studio and wrote ‘miss me too.’ I had been trying to write a song for a while about losing yourself, and missing a past version of yourself that wasn’t so broken.”
