The Guinness World Records has responded to the cookathon completion of Failatu Abdul-Razak, a Ghanaian chef, who recorded 227 hours of cooking in ten days.

The Guinness World Records acknowledged Failatu’s try to interrupt the report for the longest cooking marathon and acknowledged that her proof could be investigated.

Failatu aimed to unseat Irish chef Alan Fisher, who set the earlier report at 119 hours and 57 minutes.

Fisher’s report was formally validated on November 7, 2023. Abdul-Razak started her cookathon on January 1, 2024, and cooked for 227 hours, protecting all kinds of dishes.

GWR reacted saying;

“We look forward to reviewing her evidence!”
