HEADIES: Oxlade Doesn’t Deserve ‘Best Male Vocal Performance’

Last night time, Nigerian singer, Oxlade was awarded, Best Male Vocal Performance on the Headies 2022 awards in Atlanta.

Brymo’s Méjì Méjì, Ric Hassani’s “When I’m Gone“, Johnny Drille’s “loving is harder” and Tay Iwar’s PEAKING have been nominated alongside Oxlade’s Ojuju.

Oxlade beat them to bag the award. This has induced nice controversy on social media as many consider Ric Hassani deserved the win.

One Bismark Benson took to Facebook to opine that Ric’s When I’m Gone is way extra vocally highly effective than Oxlade’s Ojuju.

I’m misplaced. The Headies, why?

Ojuju is a pleasant jam. Oxlade did his factor on it.

But speaking about vocal dexterity and enunciation abilities, I believe Ric was the person for the prize.

It’s okay Ric Hassani. We know you have been robbed and unappreciated, as typical.

Apparently, Oxlade gained as a result of his track did extra numbers than the remainder within the class (Johnny Drille, Brymo, Tay Iwar) as that’s the qualifying issue for many awards as of late.

Nevertheless Ric, we heard what you probably did on that track and felt it.
