On Feb. 5, builders Blackbird Interactive launched a public demo for Homeworld 3 on Steam and the Epic Games Store, showcasing its roguelike War Games mode. While we loved the vertical slice of the sport, it nonetheless introduced numerous points that left us questioning whether or not Blackbird Interactive would have time to resolve them earlier than launch.
Thankfully, in a transparent dedication to delivering the absolute best model of the newest installment within the legendary sci-fi RTS franchise, Blackbird Interactive has made the choice to delay the launch of Homeworld 3 to May 13. That’s roughly an extra 4 weeks out from the earlier launch date of Mar. 8.
According to the statement issued by Blackbird Interactive, the choice to postpone the launch was made in response to suggestions from exterior playtesting as well as to the reception of its public demo.

It’s definitely irritating to see Homeworld 3 undergo one other delay, particularly contemplating it was initially slated to launch within the first half of 2023. However, as a long-standing fan of the Homeworld franchise, I’m glad that the builders are taking the required steps to deal with these points.
