Crystal Hefner was simply 21-years-old when she first met late Playboy founder Hugh Hefner at a Halloween get together again in 2008 – the night time that she admits “changed her life forever”.
Soon after, Crystal (née Harris) was requested by Hef to maneuver into the $(AU)150million Playboy mansion, a Gothic-Tudor mansion in the prestigious Holmby Hills, Los Angeles.
Crystal quickly grew to become the late millionaire’s primary girlfriend, and finally married him in 2012, turning into his third spouse and spending almost a decade in the mansion till his loss of life at 91 in 2017.
At the time of their marriage, she was 26 and he was 86. They had a 60-year age hole.
Now, Crystal has launched a bombshell memoir which particulars the highs and lows in her life – and her time with Playboy.

Called Only Say Good Things, Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself, Crystal particulars what life was actually like in the mansion – and the way “lost” she was when she first met Hef.
Speaking to 9honey Celebrity, The New York Times best-selling creator spoke about the new launch and revealed how she began to seek out her personal empowerment in direction of the finish of her time in the mansion – and the way she’s finally found happiness and “freedom”.
“I think when I went into the mansion, I didn’t know who I was, so it was dictated to me by someone else. Coming out of the mansion, I had to learn who I was through what I liked… I love travel and nature,” she explains.

“I think I finally have freedom, I’m happy and I’m dating someone that’s kind and respectful and it took me a long time to really respect myself, once you respect yourself you don’t allow yourself to be mistreated by people,” she says.
“I spend time time between Los Angeles and Hawaii, on the farm [that she has] and I feel free now.”
She says writing the highly effective tell-all guide was cathartic and helped with the therapeutic course of.
“People have a lot of questions and I feel this crafted the story in the best way possible to tell it in a way people can understand,” she says.

Crystal says she “wanted to tell the truth” with the guide, and began writing down notes and issues whereas present process remedy for her time post-mansion, earlier than turning it into a memoir. She says she hopes sharing her story will assist others.
“[I was] in the Playboy mansion for almost ten years and when I got out, I didn’t realise it affected me as much as it did,” she explains.
“I didn’t know what boundaries were, I didn’t have the tools I have now and I realised the experience was a lot harder than what I thought it was and I wanted to tell my version of the story as so many fans followed us for so long.”

As for the book’s title, she explains that Hef would ask her to “solely say good issues about him when he is gone”.
“I’m unsure if it was a menace or if he simply needed to be identified a sure means… and I stored that promise for a very long time,” she says.
“The promise was killing me as I realized various things like boundaries, narcissism, misogyny, I did not totally perceive once I was in it.”
During her time in the mansion, Crystal received sick from poisonous mould publicity, and was recognized with Lyme illness and breast implant sickness in 2016.
Two years in the past, Crystal revealed she had eliminated “every part faux” from her body and deleted her old photos.
She had undergone a breast enlargement but had her implants removed in 2016.

“I’m feeling so a lot better and doing so a lot better in phrases of well being,” she says.
“And Hef had these ridiculous magnificence requirements, be tremendous skinny and have these huge boobs… I used to be attempting to realize these not possible magnificence requirements and I received sick from it,” she says.
“I hope to begin a household someday and I’ll be certain that my daughter would not give in to poisonous magnificence requirements or find yourself in something like the Playboy mansion,” she says.
“Hopefully there will not be something like that round, I hope to begin a household and work on my private life, I’m actually completely happy about the guide and shutting that chapter and simply shifting ahead and being completely happy and having a easy life.”
