Tyla, also called Tyla Laura Seethal, the South African singer, not too long ago shared the actions she engaged in earlier than gaining her dad and mom’ approval to pursue a singing profession.
She defined that her dad and mom initially opposed her option to develop into a musician, as they didn’t view music as a reputable occupation.
The ‘Water’ singer mentioned her dad and mom ultimately gave in after she cried for days.
Speaking in a current interview with Power 106 FM, Los Angeles, U.S.A, Tyla mentioned;
“My dad and mom weren’t actually strict on what I’m doing, however they had been strict when it comes to me going to the studio than getting a job. They had been like, ‘Music is not a job. That it’s a passion.’
“So, I had to literally cry every day and tell them that I wanna do this. There’s nothing else I wanna do. It was difficult convincing them. It’s also because, in South Africa, it doesn’t happen to us. I’ve heard so many women who wanted to do music and didn’t end up the way they wanted to. So, my parents were just trying to protect me, which is fine, but I showed them that I want to do music by all means.”
