Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, Funke Akindele, has stated that she haven’t any regrets operating for workplace regardless of her defeat within the March 18 elections.

Akindele and her principal, Abdul-Azeez Adediran aka Jandor, have been defeated by the incumbent governor and All Progressives Congress candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The actress on her Instagram web page on Monday wrote,

“It has been an incredible and insightful expertise on my journey to the poll, and I should say, it was an absolute studying curve for me. Lots of issues have been realized and unlearned. I sincerely don’t remorse taking this big step of operating for workplace.

“I, due to this fact, wish to thank the folks of Lagos state for believing in me and supporting my determination to run for workplace. I noticed each message of help on-line and offline, I heard of all of the locations the place folks supported me and challenged those that tried to discredit me.

“I bear in mind each heat welcome throughout our marketing campaign tour and the religion you all confirmed in me. The elections won’t have panned out in the best way we hoped, however it was an honourable run for us. We fought a great combat certainly, as a matter of reality.

“I also want to encourage all who mean well for the Nation and the state of Lagos not to give up. I understand that some of us are beginning to develop some sort of apathy toward the system, however, if we do not speak, we will never be heard. I’m glad that we could at least speak up.”
