As a hip-hop head, in fact, I was pleasantly stunned when Jermaine Dupri popped on stage. However, many individuals within the stadium appeared to be confused. I heard many whispers of “who is that?” which is a disgrace. But those that knew understood the significance of the second. For those that could not know, Dupri is a Grammy-winning producer and artist who has created a number of the greatest hits for Mariah Carey, Jay-Z, Usher, Lil Bow Wow, Jagged Edge, Janet Jackson, TLC, and lots of others.
