A number of months again fan-favorite creator Jimmie Robinson (Bomb Queen) teased an upcoming venture on Twitter. Today Image/Shadowline Comics introduced particulars for venture entitled Junk Rabbit, a new ongoing collection that puts a new spin on a dystopian tale of local weather catastrophe launching in April 2023. Here’s how the writer describes the collection:
A new hero rises from heaps of shopper waste, mass homelessness, and devastating local weather change. Some name the hero a fantasy, an city legend, however others know that it’s the Junk Rabbit come to life—and now it’s on a bloody path of revenge towards those that created it.
This new enviro-thriller explores a worst-case-scenario that alters not solely our world and the heroes that actually rise from its ashes—but in addition how one household can change the longer term by unlocking the key of the Junk Rabbit.
Robinson elaborated on the idea of the collection that has been described as Swamp Thing meets Robocop:
“The iconic heroes of today will not reflect the future we inherit. Junk Rabbit was born from the idea that the trash we discard today creates the heroes we deserve tomorrow. I’m excited to explore this series through Image/Shadowline Comics because they understand that new ideas and stories creates the comics we deserve tomorrow.”
