John Stamos has revisited his drunken Australian media tour in his new memoir If You Would Have Told Me.
In a chapter referred to as ‘Blunder Down Under’, Stamos, 60, explains what led to his disastrous 2007 look on Nine’s Mornings with Kerri-Anne, hosted by Kerri-Anne Kennerley from 1996 to 2011.
At the time, Stamos was starring on hit US TV collection ER and was battling alcohol habit, which had been impacting his work.

Stamos started attending Alcoholics Anonymous conferences forward of his journey to Australia, which was organised by Warner Bros. He visited Greece and Hong Kong earlier than persevering with onto Australia, the place he started consuming once more.
The actor stated he promised himself he would “definitely not hooch it up in Australia.”
“I have a lot of work to do,” he writes in the guide.
By the time he arrived in Sydney, his “fourth time zone in just a few weeks”, he was met by Warner Bros Australia representatives and his good friend Mike.

During the interview, Stamos stated he was “getting over jet lag,” made the remark in regards to the journalist’s “small penis” and ended up cuddling as much as Kerri-Anne, who questioned his means to take criticism.
He then started discussing Elvis, who “died on a toilet” as a result of he was “fat”, as Kerri-Anne struggled to maintain management of the interview.

Stamos’ publicist launched an announcement later that day, saying his behaviour was as a consequence of Ambien.
His battle with alcohol habit continued when he returned to the US and the set of ER and continued till 2015, when he discovered himself in hospital, charged with drink driving.
Stamos pleaded no contest to the cost and his plea deal affect in Beverly Hills, California.
NBC News reported that his plea deal included finishing three-months in an alcohol abuse program, attending 53 Alcoholics Anonymous conferences and receiving habit counselling.
Kennerly advised TV Week she “loved” each minute of Stamos’ chaotic look on the show.
“I loved it. All the executives were starting to panic, but I thought it was fabulous,” she confessed.
