Multi-Emmy and Tony winner Judith Light is about to star reverse Billy Crystal in Apple TV+‘s Before. Crystal also is executive producing the limited series, from Paramount TV Studios, which has tapped Adam Bernstein as director of the pilot episode.
Written by Sarah Thorp, Before is a 10-episode atmospheric, character-driven psychological thriller about Eli (Crystal), a child psychiatrist who, after recently losing his wife, Lynn (Light), encounters a troubled young boy who seems to have a haunting connection to Eli’s previous.
Seductively enigmatic, Lynn (Light) is the love of Eli’s life, however her latest loss of life will not be fairly what it appears. As Eli digs deeper into the hidden life of the spouse he thought he knew, he quickly finds Lynn haunting him from past the grave.
