
It’s a digital world in spite of everything for Kraftwerk, who’ve introduced a uncommon residency at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
In celebration of the group’s enduring legacy, Kraftwerk’s cybernetic sounds will take over the Los Angeles-based venue for 9 concert events in late May. The pioneering digital band are celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of 1974’s influential Autobahn album, which was composed by founders Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider, the latter of whom handed away in 2020.
According to the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, the collection will current eight Kraftwerk albums: Autobahn (1974), Radio-Activity (1975), Trans Europe Express (1977), The Man-Machine (1978), Computer World (1981), Techno Pop (1986), The Mix (1991) and Tour de France (2003).
Kraftwerk will carry out one full album every evening in addition to “additional compositions” from their catalog. The ninth and closing live performance on Thursday, May thirtieth will perform as a grand finale showcasing 5 a long time of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members’ repertoire.
