Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz have been greatest pals for properly over a decade. In a latest sit-down, Weezy revealed that 2 Chainz was his weed seller earlier than they began rapping collectively.
Lil Wayne Discloses That 2 Chainz Use to Be His Weed Man
On Friday (Oct. 20), Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz hit up NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to carry out their newest single, “Presha.” Before they hit the stage, the rap duo sat down with Jimmy to chat about their decade-long friendship. Wayne recalled assembly Deuces at a studio in Atlanta and considered him as a cool man who graduated from faculty and performed basketball.
“I mean, once we linked up, we were friends from there,” he mentioned. “Just same type of attitude, cool, but I didn’t know he rapped at the time.”
So when Jimmy requested Wayne how they began rapping collectively, 2 Chainz chimed in along with his a part of the story.
“[Clears throat] Uh…Wayne wanted cannabis,” he said, which helped Jimmy understand that he was Weezy’s provider of weed.

During a transaction (circa 2007), 2 Chainz instructed Tunechi that he may rap and performed him the tune “Duffle Bag Boy.” Once Wayne heard the observe, he jumped on it instantly.
“The moment he said he rapped and the moment I heard it, we got to the studio, and I did this hook for the song, ‘Duffle Bag Boy.’ And the rest is history,” Wayne recalled.
Weezy and Chainz grew to become pals and began collaborating on music ever since. Their bromance is so tight that Wayne was even one of the best man at 2 Chainz’s marriage ceremony.
