Some new Madame Web idea artwork has surfaced revealing an in depth take a look at the costumes worn within the film by Cassandra Webb/Madame Web, Julia Cornwall/Spider-Woman, and Mattie Franklin/Spider-Girl.
This was a catastrophe of a film, however there’s a number of work that went into creating it. Some of that work concerned creating the costumes within the movie… that solely received two minutes of display time. While I hated the film, I do love the manufacturing strategy of moviemaking and I’m an enormous fan of what idea artists do to assist carry films to life. It’s not the idea artist’s fault that the film sucked!
This artwork comes from artist Imogene Chayes, we now have idea artwork that includes Madame Web (Dakota Johnson), Spider-Woman (Sydney Sweeney), and Spider-Girl (Celeste O’Connor).
The artist shared: “I had an absolute blast working on this project. How can designing super suits for a gang of hot ladies not be fun? I got to work with one of my all time favorite costume designers, Ngila Dickson, who really gave me the room to play with all of the style lines for these suits.”
Describing Spider-Man as her “favorite,” the artist added, “We decided to stick with her bold, graphic style from the comics.”
When speaking about Mattie, Chayes mentioned she was “such a fun character to work on” and defined, “I had a particularly fun time working with Ngila to flesh out the style lines for this suit, as well as giving her a cheeky attitude.”
