Jonathan Majors is stripping down for his newest film position. After assembly his boxing character Damian in “Creed III” and his “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” villain, Kang the Conqueror, the actor’s subsequent large movie, “Magazine Dreams,” lastly has a launch date.
In the forthcoming drama, directed by Elijah Bynum, Major performs jacked-up newbie bodybuilder Killian Maddox, who struggles to “find human connection as his relentless drive for recognition pushes him to the brink.” The movie earned excessive reward from critics after it made its world premiere on the 2023 Sundance Film Festival alongside different options like “Cat Person” starring Nicholas Braun; “Theater Camp” that includes “Dear Evan Hansen” alums Ben Platt and Noah Galvin and “The Bear”‘s Ayo Edebiri; and Randall Park’s directorial debut movie, “Shortcomings.”
In a January interview with The Wrap, Majors opened up about his upcoming film, noting that it speaks to “the idea of the American dream, and what that looks like, and the fabric that makes up America: its religiosity, its militarism, its toxic masculinity, its absence of femininity.”
“Magazine Dreams” options an A-list solid and based on Collider, the film’s script, written by Bynum, appeared on the 2020 Black List — which acknowledges the “most-liked” screenplays that haven’t but been produced.
