Man Stabs Retired Nurse And Her Housemaid To Death In Benue (DETAILS) » Naijaloaded

A retired nurse, Mrs. Esther Amali, and her housemaid, Mercy Mwuese, had been stabbed to dying by an intruder at their house in Federal Low Cost, Makurdi, Benue State.

The incident occurred round 4:30 pm on Sunday, January 14, 2024. According to an eyewitness, the attacker entered the compound and assaulted the housemaid, who was in her 20s, whereas the retired nurse was away.

Two variations of the motive emerged—one suggesting a dispute over the housemaid’s being pregnant involving rival cultists and one other alleging a disagreement in regards to the paternity of the housemaid’s child.

The attacker, who had warned the housemaid to cease associating his buddy together with her child’s father, scaled a fence to enter the home.

Upon the nurse’s return, she discovered the housemaid being stabbed and pleaded for the assault to cease, however the assailant continued, leaving each victims unconscious.

Despite efforts to achieve the hospital, the nurse handed away throughout transit. Their stays are on the Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi, and a neighbor has taken custody of the housemaid’s child.
