Image Comics has introduced Maria Llovet’s Crave, a new erotic thriller sequence a couple of hookup app wreaking havoc to warmth up the winter months. Described as “Eyes Wide Shut meets Black Mirror“, Crave will launch November 29, 2023 and be the author/artist’s first Image sequence. The guide will even launch with 4 variant covers by Llovet.

“Fan favorite Heartbeat writer/artist Maria Llovet (Faithless, Sandman Universe Thessaly) will make her first Image Comics debut in the upcoming erotic thriller, Crave. Eyes Wide Shut meets Black Mirror in this dark, sexy mystery set to launch in November. CRAVE, a mysterious app that promises to make your desires come true, spreads among the students of an elite university who use it as a hookup app. David, a top student, engages in a game of seduction with the unattainable Alexandra. But as requests to the app escalate and wreak havoc on campus, David and his friends’ only chance to stop this spiral is to find out what really lies behind CRAVE.”
Llovet says in regards to the sequence,
“Crave was born by reflecting on how we connect in the modern world; to what extent do we control how much we share, and how much others know about us, especially now that we are in the dawn of AI.”
Maria Llovet is a Spanish artist whose physique of labor within the US has been steadily rising. Llovet’s US debut was with BOOM! Studios’ Faithless (2019) alongside author Brian Azzarello. She has since performed extra Faithless sequence, gone on to do solo work, and translated her present physique of labor into English. She has already been revealed by Black Mask Studios, Ablaze, and DC Comics. Her arts has been notable for her visible method to eroticism. Works by her have included translations of Heartbeat (2019/authentic ed. 2015), Eros/Psyche (2021/authentic ed. 2011), and Porcelain (2021/authentic ed. 2012). New sequence by Llovet as sole creator have included Loud! (2020) and Luna (2021). For DC, she was inside artist on 2023’s James Tynion IV-written Sandman Universe Special: Thessaly.
