Chris Michaels, meteorologist for WSLS in Roanoke, Va., retains sneaking metallic lyrics into the climate forecast on TV and it is superior.

I’ve been taking part in the drums since the age of three, however it wasn’t till center college that metallic entered my life!

The first metallic albums I bought have been Metallica’s ‘Black Album’ and Megadeth’s The System Has Failed. My uncle gave me these proper at the similar time — round age 11 or 12 — and my love for metallic shortly grew from there.

How/when did your ardour for climate start?

My ardour for climate started at the age of 17. I used to be mistakenly positioned in an Intro to Meteorology course in highschool. I mentioned I used to be going to drop it, however after the first day I used to be hooked!

It was from “Just Pretend” by Bad Omens. The lyric was “I can wait for you at the bottom. I can stay away if you want me to.”

To today, it’s the one which has the most views (1.4 million!).

Do any of your co-workers like rock/metallic? Are they amused by what you do with the forecasts?

There are just a few co-workers who take heed to a few of the similar bands. They’ll both counsel totally different bands, or I’ll present them a video earlier than posting to TikTookay.

It’s been cool to see how my co-workers and administration have supported this. After all, I’m getting to mix my two loves — music and meteorology.

Who are your three favourite bands?

Oh, that is robust. I really like all the pieces from Polaris to Avenged Sevenfold and Ice Nine Kills to Alter Bridge.

But my three all-time favorites need to be Dream Theater, Periphery and Motionless in White — so many metallic bands have nice drummers, however these three have impressed me the most!

What was your first live performance?

My first live performance was Dream Theater. It was April 1, 2006 at Radio City Music Hall. This is the place they filmed their Score — twentieth Anniversary World Tour Live With the Octavarium Orchestra dwell album/DVD.
