MI Abaga Reacts To Wizkid’s Comment About Rap Genre » Naijaloaded

Following Wizkid’s assault on the music style, Rapper M.l Abaga has reacted saying rap is just on the rise in Nigeria.

In a current interview with 10 journal, Wizkid declared Afrobeat style of music as the brand new pop, including that rap style of music is lifeless.

He mentioned:

“Afrobeats is the brand new pop, bought two million copies in America off of 1 music! Even some American artists don’t have a diamond document.

“If I’m being trustworthy, I don’t hearken to another style of music anymore. don’t hearken to rap that shit is boring to me. It’s lifeless now, it’s drained. These guys do the identical shit, rap on the identical beats and the identical flows.

Reacting in a put up shared on Twitter on Friday, M.l Abaga urged rappers to maintain specializing in their craft, including that the rap style will continue to grow.

He wrote:

“The energy around HIPHOP right now feels right.. I know most rappers are still not the most popular yet.. but right now is time for us to focus on the craft.. just keep getting better.. this year we did so well as a genre and next year we grow!!!!”
