Kristen Stewart has addressed criticism of her viral Rolling Stone cover from final month.
Speaking on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the Twilight star was requested by the host in regards to the criticism she obtained for the cover, which featured her wearing a white jockstrap along with her hand down the entrance of it, in addition to a black leather-based vest.
Colbert says his present’s mum or dad firm, CBS, really initially banned him from exhibiting the cover.
“We were asked by CBS not to show it,” he mentioned to Stewart. “They thought that would not be a good idea for us to show this and I understand why.”

“Well, it’s a little ironic because I feel like I’ve seen, like, a lot of male pubic hair on the cover of things,” the actress shared with Colbert.
“I’ve seen, like, a lot of hands in pants and like, unbuttoned… I think there’s a certain overt acknowledgement of a female sexuality that has its own volition in a way that is annoying for people who are sexist and homophobic,” the actress mentioned.
Colbert added: “I’ve certainly seen more revealing covers on Rolling Stone or Sports Illustrated for that matter.”
“It’s not remotely explicit, yeah,” Stewart agreed, earlier than Colbert continued, “No, I think it also violates public expectations of female sexuality as opposed to how you’re presenting it here.”

Stewart continued his level: “Yes, because female sexuality isn’t supposed to actually want anything but to be had. And that feels like it’s protruding in a way that might be annoying.”
There was a pause earlier than she seemed on the digital camera and mentioned succinctly, “But f— you,” because the viewers cheered, earlier than she added on as a joke belatedly, “But I never will!”
Colbert, who erupted in laughter on the Spencer star’s joke mentioned, “I think that’s why they’re mad at you!”
“God, I’m so glad I landed that, phew!” Stewart mentioned of her punchy assertion.
