Paul Simon was at all times an uneasy folksinger, a job his file firm tried to push him into beginning with Simon & Garfunkel’s debut album. Before that, together with New York City pal and musical companion Art Garfunkel, Simon fashioned Tom & Jerry, an Everly Brothers-style duo, within the late ’50s that led to their people profession the subsequent decade.
