Poppy is nearing the discharge of her fifth studio album, Zig, her follow-up to 2021’s Flux. So far, we’ve heard the club-ready singles “Church Outfit” and “Knockoff,” and now she’s returned with one other rousing banger known as “Motorbike.”

Like the earlier singles, “Motorbike” resides on the dancey, digital facet of Poppy’s extensive musical spectrum. It’s not a raging metallic or punk track like followers have come to anticipate, however a darkish, smooth, and enjoyable industrial-pop banger constructed across the picture of a cool lady driving a motorbike. In the video, Poppy performs the half of the track’s most important character, which you’ll watch beneath.
“The gray area is where I find room to dig into,” Poppy advised AP in her cowl interview. “I like the swings; I like the extremes. I like to play with the furthest-reaching ends of the spectrum in my music, but I think people want to be able to look at something and know what it is immediately. If they can’t put their finger on it right away, they either lose interest or decide they dislike it. But they say people dislike what they don’t understand.”
