Queen Elizabeth was prime of thoughts for President Biden throughout his 9/11 memorial speech … quoting the late monarch who delivered poignant remarks on the heels of the tragedy.
JB was on the Pentagon Sunday, talking to a crowd of individuals on the twenty first anniversary of the September eleventh assaults … and at one level, he invoked some well-known phrases QE2 issued proper as America was grieving the autumn of the Twin Towers and the deaths of 1000’s.
She mentioned, in half, by way of an envoy … “These are dark and harrowing times for families and friends of those who are missing or who suffered in the attack — many of you here today.”
Queen Elizabeth added, “My thoughts and my prayers are with you all now and in the difficult days ahead. But nothing that can be said can begin to take away the anguish and the pain of these moments. Grief is the price we pay for love Grief is the price we pay for love.”

The Prez cited that grief line himself and added, “Many of us have experienced that grief, and you’ve all experienced it. And on this day, when the price feels so great, Jill and I are holding all of you close to our hearts.”
The timing of that is no shock — as everyone knows, the Queen handed away final week … and it rocked the world. Biden was keen on her, and is alleged to be attending her funeral subsequent week … the place we’re certain different presidents can even present.
Interestingly sufficient, Prince William additionally quoted that line from his grandmother in his personal assertion on her passing this weekend, writing … “My grandmother famously said that grief was the price we pay for love. All of the sadness we will feel in the coming weeks will be testament to the love we felt for our extraordinary Queen.”
