Welch’s position in the 1966 movie One Million Years BC was life-changing for the then-unknown actress.
In the journey movie, the US-born star wore an animal-skin bikini as cavewoman Loana – which is now amongst the most iconic movie costumes of all time.
It earned Welch a repute as a intercourse image on the display screen, whether or not she preferred it or not.
In 2017, Welch remembered her stunning worldwide fame after the film premiered.
“I was just there doing this dinosaur movie in the Canary Islands, up on a volcano, it was snowing and I’m wearing this little torn away shammy with a few fur bits left on it,” Welch informed Access Hollywood.
“Finally, we wrap the whole show and we go back to London because it was British production, and I get off the plane there and these photographers are everywhere and they are yelling my name.
She added: “I assumed, ‘Wow, they know who I’m? All as a result of I got here right here and did this loopy dinosaur film?’ It was the costume, it was wham, bam and woah!”
