After ceasing a seven-year viewers slide in 2021, this Monday’s telecast of TV’s greatest evening drew simply 5.9 million complete viewers to NBC, down 24 p.c from final time round to mark an all-time low.
In the demo, Monday evening’s present pulled a 1.1 score, down sharply from final yr’s 1.8.
TVLine readers gave the telecast a mean grade of “C,” whereas Kenan Thompson earned as “D” as host.
The Emmys’ earlier all-time viewers low, of 6.4 million, was set in 2020 by the primary pandemic-era, digital ceremony on ABC. Last yr’s Emmycast, on CBS, improved 16 p.c on that nadir.
