Sensational Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, popularly generally known as Rema, has achieved one other milestone as his hit songema.
Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ displaced CKay’s ‘Love Nwantiti’ to attain the feat.
American music knowledge compilation web site, Chart Data disclosed this on Friday.
The statistics agency tweeted,
“@heisrema’s ‘Calm Down’ is now the #1 most streamed Afrobeats song in US history, surpassing @ckay_yo’s ‘love nwantiti’.”
Both variations of the track have surpassed half a billion streams on Spotify and YouTube.
Recall that ‘Calm Down’ turned the highest-peaking Nigerian track on US Billboard Hot 100 following a remix with American famous person, Selena Gomez which peaked at quantity 3.
The track can also be the primary African track to high the American radio chart.
