Remender and Fiumara launch new sci-fi comic series THE SACRIFICERS

Teased in a particular Free Comic Book Day version earlier this month, Image Comics has formally introduced that The Sacrificers, the all-new ongoing series from New York Times bestselling author Rick Remender and artist Max Fiumara together with colorist Dave McCaig , will launch in August.

Here’s how the writer describes the series:

In The Sacrificers, tomorrow is a harmonious paradise thanks to 5 households who make all the pieces excellent…for the value of 1 youngster per family. Now, as that invoice comes due, a son anticipated to offer all the pieces for a household that by no means cherished him and an prosperous daughter decided to destroy utopia who should now unite to finish one era’s unnaturally protracted reign.

After briefly collaborating with Fiumara throughout his tenure at Marvel, Remender expressed his pleasure about reuniting with the artist on a creator-owned challenge:

“Max has long been one of my very favorite artists. We worked together briefly on a Spider-Man story years ago and he’s always been at the top of my list of artists to reunite with. I think what we’ve developed here is one of the most beautiful and unique stories in the marketplace, in no small part due to Max and color master Dave McCaig’s next level world creating. It is truly unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.”

Fiumara added:

“The Sacrificers is the book I’ve always dreamed of working on. The pitch completely hooked me with its combination of emotional human dilemmas, exciting worlds, and eccentric characters. I’m having a blast designing it. The collaboration with Rick has been terrific, his way of thinking of story is amazingly simple and effective. He creates strong scenes that I manifest, we complement each other quite well, and Dave is doing such beautiful work with colors.”

In addition to the principle cowl by Fiumara, The first difficulty of The Sacrificers will function variant covers by artists beneath the Giant Generator imprint at Image together with Julian Totino Tedesco, Tula Lotay, Jenny Frison, Matteo Scalera, J.G. Jones, Nic Klein, J.H. Williams III, and Mike Mignola.
