Our pasts are filled with weird anecdotes. Creativity emerges after we acknowledge the worth of those foolish moments. I attended a public college, Bosphorus University, in Istanbul in the 90s.
I used to be surrounded by unexpectedly stunning, curious, and oddly imaginative folks possibly as a result of acceptance to this college required years of persistent learning with an obsessive willpower.
Most of us have been coming from middle-class households and staying in underfunded dorms. My roommates and I, eight ladies, lived in a tiny dorm room. By at the moment’s requirements, this dorm room was small even for one pupil. Hot water, laundry machines, fridges, and tv weren’t obtainable. There have been nonetheless loads of wild canines, cats, and mice residing with us.
In this atmosphere, many absurd occasions emerged from second to second. I wished to create an environment for a fictional story utilizing my recollections from these years. I instructed a slice of life from the 90s about being a girl in Istanbul. Evil Eyes Sea is a humorous survival story, and a homicide thriller.
My purpose was to create a delicate magical realism and selected the underwater Bosphorus Strait as one of many key environments of the story. I interviewed a army scuba diver who led rescue and prison analysis missions. That interview helped me to form the fictional plot growth.
The political characters in the e-book are a mix of the political figures of Turkey. In Turkey, supposedly a democratic nation, a political chief can stay in energy for twenty years or extra. Evil Eyes Sea seems on the tragi-comic dynamics of such paradox.
