Smash Mouth’s lead singer, Steve Harwell, has died … TMZ has discovered.
The rock band’s longtime frontman — who was one of many unique founding members relationship again to 1994 — handed away Monday morning at his dwelling in Boise, Idaho because of liver failure — this based on his supervisor.
We’re advised he was surrounded by household and buddies and handed peacefully and comfortably.
TMZ broke the story … Steve had been in hospice and was given solely days to reside this previous weekend. As such, he was receiving end-of-life care at dwelling with buddies/household. We’d been advised he succumbed to his well being battles over alcohol abuse, amongst different illnesses.

Remember, SH introduced he was retiring from performing a pair years in the past following a present during which he was discovered to have been slurring his phrases and performing erratic onstage.
His passing marks a tragic day for Smash Mouth followers — of which there are various. His band skyrocketed to fame within the late ’90s and early 2000s, on account of their album “Astro Lounge” … which featured a few of their most well-known songs, like “All Star.”
Of course, their involvement within the “Shrek” movie put them on one other degree of fame — as did their cowl of The Monkees’ hit music “I’m a Believer.” Around this time, they had been enormous. Other notable tracks that Steve contributed to … “Walkin’ On the Sun,” “Then the Morning Comes,” “Can’t Get Enough of You Baby,” “Pacific Coast Party” and “Why Can’t We Be Friends.”
Steve handled hardships via a lot of his life — his toddler son died at solely 6 months as a result of leukemia — and he himself had been identified with sicknesses through the years too.

Despite this, he carried on with a smile and did what he liked in music and performing … bringing pleasure to many, many listeners all through his profession. Steve was solely 56.
