‘SNL’: Lizzo to Sub as Musical Guest, Due to Yeah Yeah Yeahs Illness

Grammy winner Lizzo will assist NBC’s Saturday Night Live shut out 2022, as a last-minute substitute musical visitor.

It was introduced final month that Elvis‘ Austin Butler would make his internet hosting debut on Dec. 17, the ultimate telecast of the yr, alongside first-time musical visitor Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

However, the indie rock band — comprised of vocalist/pianist Karen O, guitarist/keyboardist Nick Zinner and drummer Brian Chase — has made the troublesome resolution to bow out of the gig, due to Zimmer’s latest battle with pneumonia (detailed within the group’s tweet beneath).

Lizzo in flip has been tapped to serve as SNL musical visitor for a 3rd time, having beforehand finished so in December 2019 (reverse host Eddie Murphy) and once more this previous April (when she pulled double obligation as host).
