Spartacus creator Steven S. DeKnight is trying to broaden on the epic story he launched in 2010, and he’s at present growing a sequel sequence for Starz as a showrunner and govt producer.
This new sequence will discover “uncharted territory and new journeys of the original series’ iconic characters. In the aftermath of the defeat of Spartacus and his rebel army in the series finale, the new drama will depict a new tale of treachery, deceit, and blood unfolding beneath the foreboding shadow of Rome.”
DeKnight in a assertion: “It’s such an incredible honor to be invited to return to the world of Spartacus and to be met with unbridled creative support from my colleagues at Starz and Lionsgate. Together we are crafting something truly unique and unusual for the next chapter in this epic story.”
Kathryn Busby, President, Original Programming, Starz. added: “It has been over a decade since Spartacus delighted international audiences and we are thrilled to reimagine and expand this gripping, action-packed drama for our viewers today. Spartacus has deeply invested fans who are eager for its return, and we look forward to working with Steven on this exciting next chapter.”
I loved the unique sequence and thought the artistic crew did a improbable job of telling the story that they got down to inform.
In the primary sequence, “Torn from his homeland and separated from the woman he loves, Spartacus is forced into slavery and condemned to the bloody gladiator’s arena in Rome. As he navigates the violent and brutal world he realizes that not all battles are fought in the arena, and that he must overcome treachery and temptation to survive.” This retelling of the story of Spartacus is stuffed with blood, violence and intercourse.
Lots of networks appear to be increasing on common older exhibits. It’s cool to see that Spartacus will likely be making a comeback and with DeKnight main the cost, it’s positive to be a nice revival!
