Dave Filoni, The Mandalorian‘s Executive Producer and Lucasfilm’s Executive Creative Director, has talked a bit about his time shadowing numerous Star Wars administrators in the course of the manufacturing of the sequel trilogy, together with Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson.
While talking with THR, Filoni defined how a lot he had realized from his time shadowing Johnson in the course of the manufacturing of The Last Jedi and revealed that he nonetheless speaks often with the director.
“Rian was the one who shoved me up front, sticking lenses in my hand and really getting me immersed in it,” Filoni acknowledged. “And so I still talk with him to this day. He’s obviously a very talented filmmaker, and I was just very fortunate to be in such an environment where I could sit and listen and learn.”
Filoni has gone on to direct a number of live-action Star Wars initiatives, together with three episodes of The Mandalorian and a number of episodes of the upcoming Disney+ sequence Ahsoka. The latter is predicated on the titular character that Filoni and Star Wars creator George Lucas created for the animated film and sequence Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Quite a number of Star Wars initiatives are on the horizon, together with the Disney+ sequence Ahsoka, The Acolyte, and Skeleton Crew. The third season of The Mandalorian is presently releasing weekly on Disney+, whereas the online game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is nearing its April 28 launch date.
