Image has introduced the upcoming launch of Terrorwar, an ongoing sci-fi/horror sequence from author Saladin Ahmed and artist Dave Acosta coming this April. The starting of the sequence was intitially launched via Ahmed’s Copper Bottle Substack publication, however might be printed for the primary time this Spring.
This is how Image described the brand new sequence:
In the world of Terrorwar, Blue City was the final livable place on Earth. Now it’s crawling with Terrors—creatures that rework into their victims’ worst fears. Humanity’s final hope? Muhammad Cho and his overworked, underpaid crew of freelance Terrorfighters.
And right here’s what Ahmed needed to say in regards to the ebook in an interview with iO9:
“Terrorwar is partially a tribute to the 1980s cinematic sci-fi I grew up with—big guns! cyberpunk sprawl! eerie lighting! badass dialogue!—but it also tries to look forward, telling that sort of story in a 21st-century way in the aftermath of the War on Terror. Working with Dave on this has been an incredible treat. His art goes from war comic action to weird horror to intimate human moments without missing a beat. And we couldn’t be more excited to have Image bringing this to comic shops!”
Terrorwar #1 will include two covers, a major cowl by Acosta and a variant by Daniel Warren Johnson.
Acosta additionally expressed his pleasure in regards to the launch of the sequence:
“Terrorwar is the comic I’ve been waiting my whole career to draw—far out sci-fi, terrifying creatures, social commentary, and a bit of humor. I’m super thankful to be partnering with Saladin again, and I think fans will be shocked when they see what we’ve been cooking.”
Terrorwar #1 might be launched in print on April nineteenth, 2023. Below is a preview Image offered for the problem.
