Adult Swim has launched the primary clip for the highly-anticipated animated sequence Rick and Morty: The Anime. In this primary clip, we see Rick on an alien planet with Morty standing quietly by his grandfather’s facet. Rick takes a swig of alcohol and then begins speaking about life and the alternatives we make in it, saying:

The series was directed by Takashi Sano, and when talking about it, he said: “What I’ve tried to accomplish with these 10 episodes is to take all my favorite parts of watching Rick and Morty, compress the down to extract their essence, and then add a unique Japanese twist. I’d like you to enjoy Rick and Morty’s adventures as they are wisked through time and space, tangled up in all sorts of chaos.”
He added: “The multiverse-straddling exploits of Rick and the gang pose challenges to the household bond, however they all the time rise to the event. It’s such a life-affirming sight, and Jerry isn’t any exception. I’m honored to have been given a chance to inform a brand new story about this wonderful household.
