Vanity Fair has revealed the primary look at Bill Skarsgard and FKA Twigs in the remake of The Crow.
The photos present an up to date search for protagonist Eric Draven, with the film’s director saying of his supernatural look, ”That look was me in the ’90s once we have been squat-raving in London, [mixed with some modern influences] like Post Malone and Lil Peep.”
The remake of the 1994 Brandon Lee film and James O’Barr’s supply materials sees goth rocker Eric Draven (Skarsgard), alongside together with his lover, Shelly (FKA Twigs), brutally murdered when the demons of Shelly’s previous (Danny Huston) meet up with them. Caught in a limbo state between the dwelling and the lifeless, Eric units out to avenge their deaths, strolling the road between the pure world and the supernatural one.

The film additionally stars Laura Birn (Foundation), Sami Bouajila (A Son), and Jordan Bolger (The Woman King).
Director Rupert Sanders (Ghost in the Shell) revealed what drew him to the challenge was “This was the opportunity to make a dark romance, something that dealt with loss, grief, and the ethereal veil between life and death and reaching through that.”
The unique movie was launched practically 30 years in the past, and was a modest box-office success. Unfortunately, its most lasting legacy is that it was the ultimate movie of Brandon Lee, because the actor was by chance shot throughout filming.
Sanders understands that may loom giant over the remake, and feels the most recent iteration is a tribute of kinds to Lee.
“Obviously, it was a terrible tragedy, and it’s definitely something that we’ve always had in mind through the making of the film,” sanders says. “Brandon was an original voice, and I think he will always be synonymous with The Crow, and I hope he’s proud of what we’ve done and how we’ve brought the story back again. His soul is very much alive in this film. There’s a real fragility and beauty to his version of the Crow, and I think Bill feels like he is a successor to that.”
The Crow remake is in theaters from June 7, 2024.
