If you have ever questioned whether or not members of the British Royal Family watch The Crown, you now have a solution.
Jonathan Pryce, who performed Prince Philip on the Netflix drama, informed Times Radio that sure, the royals do watch the show.
And what’s extra, the 76-year-old truly spoke to a senior member of the household and apologised for his half in it.

“One of our cast met one of the royal family who intimated that they watched it,” Pryce mentioned within the interview, in accordance to Deadline.
In 2021, when Pryce was knighted, he went to Windsor for the ceremony.
”It was Princess Anne who dubbed me,” he defined. “And I was in the middle of playing her father [in The Crown], and there’d been intimations that she’d seen some of it.”
“And so she put the sword lightly on the shoulder, and I stood up and I said – thinking she was thinking, you know – I said, ‘Oh, I don’t know what to say to you…um…sorry?
“And she mentioned, ‘Why? It’s finished now’.”
Though it sounds like an awkward moment, Pryce laughed it off.
“It was fairly an amusing second, for me a minimum of.” he said.

He added: “Now, whether or not she meant I used to be saying sorry for being right here tonight, or sorry for, y’know, ‘you have performed my father and it is finished the best way you have finished it’, it is , no matter.”
Last month, in an interview with 9Honey, Pryce said that he did have some regrets about the way his portrayal of Prince Philip came across on-screen.
“I do not assume I had sufficient gaffs as a personality truly, I might have finished with a couple of extra one-liners to expose that aspect of him,” he mentioned.
Pryce admits he was skeptical at first about taking up the position however says he warmed to the thought as he realized in regards to the late Queen’s consort by talking to those that knew him greatest.
