Searchlight Pictures has introduced the theatrical and streaming launch dates for The Greatest Hits, the upcoming music romance film with a time-travel twist.
Starring Bohemian Rhapsody’s Lucy Boynton, the movie will first have its world premiere on the upcoming SXSW Film Festival. Afterward, it is going to be launched in choose theaters on April 5, adopted by its Hulu debut on April 12.
What is The Greatest Hits about?
“In the film, Harriet finds art imitating life when she discovers certain songs can transport her back in time — literally,” reads the synopsis. “While she relives the past through romantic memories of her former boyfriend, her time travelling collides with a burgeoning new love interest in the present. As she takes her journey through the hypnotic connection between music and memory, she wonders — even if she could change the past, should she?”
The Greatest Hits is written and directed by Ned Benson. This marks his first function directorial venture after 2010’s The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby. Joining Boynton within the movie are David Corenswet (Superman: Legacy), Justin H. Min (The Umbrella Academy), Austin Crute (Booksmart), and Jackson Kelly. It is produced by Benson, Michael London, Shannon Gaulding, Stephanie Davis and Cassandra Kulukundis.
