Katee Sackhoff has been such a welcome boost to the forged of The Mandalorian, and her story has actually taken off this season. Looking forward to the way forward for her profession, the actress says she’d love to sometime play the a part of Batman villain Poison Ivy, aka Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley, an eco-terrorist and distinguished enemy of the caped crusader.
Sackhoff even acknowledged that she is aware of simply the director for the job as effectively, her former Oculus director Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep).
In a latest look at Megacon Orlando, ComedianBookay stories that they requested Sackhoff her ideas on making an adaptation. As the voice actress who performed Poison Ivy within the Batman: The Long Halloween animated films – and the actress who took Star Wars‘ Bo-Katan Kryze from animated cult-following to mainstream live-action glory, she looks like a shoe in. And Sackhoff is greater than prepared, stating:
“I can’t quite say that I would sell my firstborn, because she’s quite special to me [laughs]. But I would like sh*t twice and die to play Poison Ivy… And to work with Mike Flanagan again. He is such a genius and so collaborative. Working on Oculus was so much fun for me because he allowed me to talk about what I wanted to do with her [the character “Marie Russell] I like bringing physicality to the roles that I play and horror isn’t any completely different…And he was so all in.”
Poison Ivy hasn’t been seen on the big screen since Batman & Robin in 1997, and with Batman’s continued popularity, it seems like now would be a natural time to explore this character some more. What do you think? Would you like to see Sackhoff take on the live-action Poison Ivy?
