‘The Wheel of Time’ Season 2 Release Date, New Photos

Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time, which unspooled Season 1 again in November/December 2021, has in the end set a launch date for Season 2: Thursday, Sept. 21.

Based on the Robert Jordan fantasy sequence, Wheel of Time follows a humble farm boy, Rand al’Thor (performed by Josha Stradowski) who learns he’s The Dragon Reborn — a harmful determine from historical past destined to avoid wasting the world (or break it).  Desperate to guard him from the Dark One, a military of highly effective sorceresses should reckon with Rand’s burgeoning energy and encroaching insanity.

New for Season 2 (apart from Finn as a recast Mat) are Ayoola Smart (Killing Eve) as Aviendha, Guy Roberts (Hanna) as Uno Nomeshta, Arnas Fedaravicius (The Last Kingdom) as Mesema, Gregg Chillingirian (A Discovery of Witches) as Ingtar Shinowa, Ceara Coveney as Elayne Trakand, Natasha O’Keeffe (Peaky Blinders) probably as Selene, Meera Syal (Broadchurch) in an unspecified “important” function, Maja Simonsen (Emily in Paris) as Chiad, Ragga Ragnars (Vikings) as Bain, Jay Duffy (Derry Girls) as Dain Bornhald and Rima Te Wiata (Kiri and Lou) as Sheriam Bayanar.

Prime Video has already renewed the sequence for a 3rd season.
