The Small Press Spotlight has been maintaining with Unchartered Wilderness Studios’ Fifties sci-fi-comedy collection The World of Tomorrow. Issue #3 hits right this moment and now we have the small print.
Continuing the misadventures of Craig Barstow, the burned-out lead actor of the (previously) #1 sci-fi TV present, aptly named: The World of Tomorrow.
Issue 3 picks up moments after Craig snaps again to actuality from his delusional split-personality: Captain Cal Armstrong (the fictional principal character of his TV present). Realizing he’s nearly definitely late for his essential assembly with studio head, Dick Friezeman, Craig races throughout city in a stolen metropolis bus to the notorious Brown Derby restaurant, with the destiny of his present hanging within the steadiness. During the course of the assembly, Captain Cal emerges as soon as once more and destroys, not solely the negotiations, however the complete restaurant.
Writer Giles Clarke mentioned in an announcement, “I loved being able to incorporate the infamous Brown Derby into this storyline. Those restaurants were such an identifiable part of Hollywood history, so it was very special to be able to put Craig in that setting…and let Captain Cal absolutely destroy it.”
The whole unique artwork group continues their run on this six-issue collection together with line artist Kenan Halilović and colorist Felipe Obando. Lettering is by AndWorld Design.
