Three males have been offered earlier than an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, going through costs of stealing 3,000 cartons of Maggi seasoning valued at N50 million.
Emmanuel Akpan (38), Tasiu Aliu (27), and Usman Hassan (48) are accused of conspiracy and theft, with the alleged offenses happening on December 15, 2023, at Engineering Close, Victoria Island, Lagos.
According to the prosecutor, Insp. Innocent Odugbo, Akpan, a logistics agent, organized for a truck to move the three,000 cartons of Terra Maggi seasoning owned by TGI Distribution Company to Kaduna State.
Aliu, a driver, and Hassan, his motor boy, have been liable for conveying the products. After their departure, makes an attempt to trace their location failed as their cell telephones have been switched off.
The defendants pleaded not responsible to the fees. The Magistrate, Mrs. M. O Popoola, granted them bail within the sum of N5 million every, with two sureties in like sum. The case is adjourned till March 20 for trial.
