The 27-year-old actor revealed that the choice got here after starring in his newest challenge — the Apple TV+ sequence The Crowded Room — took a big toll on him mentally, and mentioned it “did break” him.
Well, throughout a current look on Live With Kelly and Mark, Tom clarified that he has truly been on his hiatus for some time now and that his yearlong break from performing could be over quickly.
Tom began by making it clear that reviews saying he determined to take the 12 months off due to adverse opinions of The Crowded Room have been false. He mentioned, “It’s so funny. Obviously, The Crowded Room came out, we didn’t have very favorable reviews, so the press story was that I have taken this year off because of the reviews.”
He then went on to make clear that he has been on his hiatus for fairly a while: “But I’m eight months into my year off. I’ve been chilling at home in London, going to Grand Prix, playing golf.”
Tom then added that he wished to provide a “massive thank-you” to his followers and that the present now had a “94% on Rotten Tomatoes.” He then went on to say, “I feel so grateful that I have a wonderful community of people that support me and are there for me. So I am honored and really excited for the rest of the show to come out.”
