Smallville is one hell of a nice sequence! I rewatched it final 12 months and it was a lot enjoyable experiencing that epic superhero story once more and revisiting these fantastic characters. Well, Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor) and Tom Welling (Superman) lately mentioned if they might ever be curious about reprising their roles for a feature-length movie that might proceed their story.
While on Rosenbaum’s podcast Inside of You podcast, Rosenbaum requested Welling if he’d ever contemplate doing a sequel film, saying:
“If they would come up with an idea for a Smallville movie or five years later or let’s say they say ‘We have this idea, it’s still before you become Superman and it’s this little window here, and it’s going to be on Netflix,’ would you consider it.”
Welling responded, saying:
“I mean, I’d be ‘Yes, let’s hear it.’ I don’t know how it would happen. I mean listen, I was thinking about this the other day right before we did our Talk Ville Podcast, we were on one of the most successful shows in the history of television like Top 50.
“From that show, I’ve never gotten an incoming call from anyone involved in that show for further work. I don’t mean to, I’m not saying like I don’t feel bad about that, I don’t harp on anybody about that. But you would think that when you’re successful, you would be continued successful with successful people. But I think the time has changed.”
So, Welling simply doesn’t count on anybody who was concerned with the present to contact him. It’s fairly wild that these individuals who labored collectively all these years and created a nice sequence, by no means obtained again collectively to attempt and develop some sort of different present.
As for a Smallville film, yeah… it might be attention-grabbing to see what sort of concept may come from that, however I severely doubt it’s going to ever occur.
Smallville aired on The CW from 2001 to 2011, airing 217 episodes throughout 10 seasons.
